Original tasting and review : This is Quady Essencia Orange Muscat Sweet Dessert Wine, California, 2010, finished at 15.% alcohol.
In the glass: Deep, vibrant honey color.
On the nose: Poured cool and swirled vigorously, shows brilliant, sweet flower blossoms and mineral plus motor oil. I mean that in the yummiest way. From the aroma, seems like this will be full, fragrant and boldly sweet.
On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact lighter, sweet and much more delicate than anticipated - with white flower blossoms forming the core of the experience. The sugar is apparent, as is the alcohol, but this is one of the more delicate 15% alcohol dessert wines you will find. The finish does show a sweet stickiness in the throat.
In summary: Overall, rates three stars with a plus for pleasurable finesse on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
