Original tasting and review : This is Girasole Vineyards Pinot Noir, Mendocino, California, 2010, finished at 13.5% alcohol.
In the glass: Medium red throughout.
On the nose: Poured cool and swirled vigorously, shows light and spicy pinot fruit. From the aroma, seems like this will be simple and enjoyable.
On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact friendly and round in the mid-palate. Brings a blend of light spices, lightly sweet fruit and easy, friendly balance. Brief, but clean finish.
Following long decant, full day kept cool in partially filled bottle: Very light berry nose - think light red cherry. Simple, sound, friendly on the palate.
